BOOKING AN APARTMENT
You can make a provisional booking by sending an e-mail to us with your preferred dates. This does not commit you to paying anything at this stage. We will contact you with availability and confirmation of price and answers to any questions you might have. We will then ask you for a 25% Holding Deposit, payable in Euros, to confirm a reservation, for which we will send you a receipt. Reservations are not considered firm until the Holding Deposit, in cleared funds is received. You must pay the balance for your accommodation on your arrival, including a Security Deposit of 200 Euros, for which we will forward you a further receipt. Your Security Deposit will be held until you have vacated the apartment at the end of your stay and we are able to confirm that there are no breakages, damage to the apartment or additional cleaning.
In the e-mail message in which we’ll answer to your provisional booking, we’ll forward you instructions as how to pre-pay 25% of the final cost (Holding Deposit) to confirm your booking. This Holding Deposit will be later reduced from the total price, which can be paid by bank transfer before arrival or in cash at arrival. Also on arrival you’ll have to pay 200 Euros as Security Deposit (see question above).
A Holding Deposit of 25% of the full price is required to secure your booking, and goes towards the rent. When you arrive you also have to pay 200 Euros as Security Deposit. As soon as we check that there are no special damages or losses you will get it back.
Please e-mail us shortly before your arrival and let us know your expected arrival time at the apartment. We will meet you there and will pass you the keys and show you around the apartment and help you with any questions you may have. Please let us know if your planned arrival time changes, as soon as you know, especially if you know you will be later than expected. We will e-mail you with a mobile phone number to call once you have booked.
There are no set arrival and departure days or times. See the ‘Availability’ pages to check the apartment is free for your preferred dates.
We work around you and your arrival and departure times. However, to make the arrivals and departures compatible we would prefer if you could check in after 3pm and check out before 11am. Anyway, if you arrive earlier than 3pm and want to access your property simply let us know and we’ll do our best. If there is going to be a problem with this, i.e. we will need time to clean and prepare it for you, we will let you know in advance. Same for leaving. Check in or out at night might have a special fee.
The minimum stay is 3 nights. You are welcome to stay for less, but the rate for a 3-night rental will be charged. You can book for as many nights as you like!
The rate goes down the longer you stay. We also rent by the month for longer stays. The price also depends on the number of people. The more people in the apartment, the lower the price per person.
Generally we don’t, but there might be special circumstances. If you are interested in a long stay, do not hesitate to ask us.
A standard 40 Euro cleaning charge is added to your booking, to cover normal cleaning and laundry. If you are staying more than a week and would like a cleaner, we charge 10 Euros an hour with a minimum of 40 euros per visit.
NO! Sheets, towels, cooking basics, hygienic amenities, welcome grocery pack and a bottle of wine, normal electricity and water consumption, all is included in the price.
The price assumes a maximum of the guests mentioned in the booking. For more than the agreed guests, there is an additional charge that varies according to the time and length (see availability & prices for your apartment). The price also excludes flights to Valencia, airport transfers, car hire, beach towels, additional clearing services, any breakages, damage, losses, or holiday travel insurance.
Should you cancel your holiday the following charges will be applied: From booking to 30 days before arrival we’ll re-pay you 90% of the holding deposit and will keep 10% as compensation; if you cancel between 30 days and one week before arrival we’ll reimburse you 50% of the deposit. If you cancel less than one week before your intended arrival date, there will be no refunds. It is recommended that you take out Travel Insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation.
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW
The airport is about 10 kilometers or 20 to 30 minutes by car. A taxi would cost 20 to 30 Euros (depending on traffic and time of day). Alternatively, you can take the Metro (underground), departing from Level 1 (salidas / departures) and stop at Ayora. Furió apartment is 2 minutes walk from the station; Ayora is right in front of the station.
Electricity in Spain is the same voltage as other countries in continental Europe and the UK. However – you’ll find a hair drier in the apartments, so no need to worry at all! If you have other electrical equipment such as phone and camera battery chargers, you will require a 2-pin adapter plug if travelling from the UK (available at most UK airports and chemists).
There is not a telephone in the apartment. However mobile telephone coverage is excellent (and there’s a ‘Pay as You Go’ mobile phone in the apartment for guests who request it). Generally most GSM network mobile phones with “call roaming” work in Spain, although you are advised to check with your service provider if in doubt. We are happy to provide details of where you can purchase phone top-up cards.
You can arrange to leave the keys in the apartment, making sure lights and any other electrical items are switched off before leaving (please leave the fridge on!). Alternatively, we can collect the keys at the apartment before departure. In the first case, your Security Deposit will be returned to you by bank transfer after we confirm that the apartment and its contents are OK. If you would like us to come to the apartment when you leave, we go through our checklist at that moment and repay the deposit in cash before you leave.
Both apartments are within walking distance of shops and restaurants. You can also walk to the beach or to the City of Arts and Sciences in less than 15 minutes. And if you want to use the public transport, bus stops are situated very close by and the Metro is right from the doorstep. If you want to travel further afield, we recommend that you hire a car to enjoy all Valencian region has to offer. There is a link from a website that compares prices of car hire in different companies. In the summer months between June and September we recommend you select vehicles with air conditioning.
We encourage your suggestions in order to constantly improve our service. Please, e-mail us!
Well, it depends on the hotel. But, if you compare standards and facilities then, unless you are planning on renting the apartment just for one person, then the answer is almost certainly not! Bear in mind that we offer you more privacy, more space, and more freedom than hotel rooms. Of course we don’t make your beds every morning, but, when you factor in all the benefits and amenities, you'll quickly realise that these apartments offer fantastic value-for-money and far superior benefits.
The neighbourhood is a typical Valencian city district. It is located midway between the sea and the city centre; the people living and working here are overwhelmingly locals who still live in a classic Spanish way: children going to next door schools and playing in nearby parks, housewives doing their daily shopping at small local groceries, bakeries, and supermarkets,… There are many bars, cafes and some small restaurants –especially around the Metro station. You can even buy clothes, shoes, and accessories in the surrounding area. Excellent public transport connections make this area a very handsome location. And the closeness of the stunning twenty-first century City of Arts and Sciences has also given the neighbourhood a whole new focus, since you can walk there in just a few minutes.
Valencia is an ancient city, with a fascinating history, culture, tradition and nature, with a wealth of entertainment and relaxation opportunities to match. Please take a look at the links we provide to some of the many places and activities you can explore. Valencia is also well known world-wide for its food, where the paella is the queen (it was first invented here!). The beaches in the city are fun, clean and very convenient, and if you drive a little further north or south you’d discover real wonders. But Valencia has far more to offer than just sandy beaches. The interior of the region is as nice as the coast. Castles (at Xativa, or Sagunto), mountains (La Calderona, Sierra Espadán), towns (Serra, Chulilla), and much more besides. TheTourism Office of the Regional Government (see links) shows these and far more. If you have any difficulties or special request, just let us know and we’ll do our best to provide you with information.
